Die Premium Koi-Teich Baktinetten sollten bei Besatzerhöhung, Filterstart, nach Medikamentenbehandlung oder bei hohen Stickstoffbelastungen verwendet werden. Geben Sie 1 Liter Baktinetten pro 5.000 Liter Teichwasser. Bei hohen Ausgangsbelastungen kann die Dosierung auf das Doppelte erhöht werden. Die Flüssigkeit, in der sich die Baktinetten befinden, sollte abgegossen werden, bevor die Perlen gleichmäßig im Filter verteilt werden, sodass sie vom Filtermaterial fixiert werden.

Premium Koi Pond Bactinettes are filter starters, water conditioners and nitrogen removers in one.
The desired and most powerful bacteria in the pond filter belong to the group of Nitrosomonas and Nitrobacter. A well-run pond filter only contains around 10,000 to 100,000 of these nitrifying autotrophic microorganisms per milliliter of biomass. There is lively competition in the filter from other single-celled organisms, such as ciliates, and multicellular organisms (such as nematodes), whose number is 100,000 times higher. Under unfavorable conditions, the autotrophic microorganisms are the first to fall victim to this competition.
Premium Koi Pond Bactinettes contain about 5 times 10 8 per milliliter live autotrophic microorganisms, which corresponds to approximately a factor of 500 of the normal concentration. These microorganisms “inoculate” the filter biologically and break down the nitrogen compounds ammonium, nitrite and nitrate. Premium Koi Pond Bactinettes also remove heavy metals and chlorine from the pond water.
The bactinet appears like an open-pored sponge under the electron microscope. The material is completely permeated with beneficial bacteria.
In Premium Koi Pond Bactinettes Autotrophic and heterotrophic microorganisms are tightly bound in a biopolymer. The network structure can be clearly seen in this image with the scanning electron microscope. It offers protection against chemical and physical influences and is still well permeable to water and substrate.
Autotrophic microorganisms
Autotrophic organisms can build their own substances from very simple compounds (e.g. ammonium or nitrite). In the case of chemical metabolism one speaks of chemolithoautotrophic organisms. A very clear example of autotrophic metabolism is photosynthesis. As “photoautotrophic” metabolizers, it enables plants to produce their own substances from CO 2 to build.
Heterotrophic microorganisms
Organisms that rely on significantly more complex organic compounds as nutrients are called heterotrophs. A few species can break down nitrogen compounds. However, even the best heterotrophic strains are 1,000 times inferior to autotrophic bacteria when it comes to nitrogen metabolism.
