Sera Pond Siporax Protect is a high-performance biological filter medium for pond and koi filters. The robust Protect ball protects the internal Siporax ring from abrasion and allows for use even in strong water currents, such as in moving bed filters.

The special shape of the Protect ball ensures optimized flow and directs the pond water specifically through the internal sintered glass ring. The open-pore 3D tunnel structure offers beneficial filter bacteria a particularly large surface area for colonization, thereby supporting efficient biological pollutant degradation.

This improves the biological filtration performance while simultaneously extending the service life of the filter. The filter medium can be used flexibly in pressure filters, flow-through filters, and moving bed filters.

Previous sera product information mentions 145 balls per 1,000 g of fish weight. A 10-liter pack contains at least 210 balls. The actual quantity required therefore depends primarily on the fish stock.
