DROPLET TEST FOR AQUARIUMS AND GARDEN PONDS
- For the exact determination of carbonate hardness (KH)
- Quick and easy
- Sufficient for up to 100 individual measurements
The KH test is used to precisely determine the carbonate hardness in ponds, freshwater and saltwater aquariums. It is quick and easy to use and is sufficient for up to 100 individual measurements.
The KH test Measures accurately to 0.5 °dH and covers a measuring range from 0.5 to 21 °dH.
Instructions for determining carbonate hardness
- Fill the test tube with 20 ml aquarium or pond water (bottom marking).
- Slowly add the indicator solution while constantly swirling.
- The drops count until the color changes from blue to yellow and there is no more recoloring.
- Evaluation: Number of indicator drops x 0.5 = KH in °dH. If the determined value is 5 °dH or more, the carbonate hardness in the water is sufficient. If the value is below 5 °dH, the carbonate hardness is too low. We recommend raising it for freshwater aquariums AquaStab , for the seawater pool aquamarine calcium stable and for the pond PondFit .
One drop of indicator solution corresponds to 0.5 °dH.
