AGAINST SPRING ALGAE BLOOMS

When the garden pond wakes up to new life in the spring, algae often form as well. This is because they find particularly favorable living conditions now due to increased sunlight. Too much algae can severely disrupt the biological balance in the pond and should therefore be reduced to a healthy level right at the start of the pond season.

SpringAlgaeStop was developed specifically for the emerging algae problems in spring. The intelligent light filter SpektroSorp reduces the light yield for the algae, thereby inhibiting their photosynthesis activity. As a result, suspended algae, which usually manifest as green water, as well as cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) gradually die off.

Our application and dosage recommendation

For optimal results, apply in the morning. Dilute the dose with at least 20 times the amount of pond water (e.g., in a watering can) and apply it evenly to the pond. Avoid contact of the undiluted product with aquatic plants. When used properly, no side effects on fish, plants, and amphibians are known. Fish can remain in the pond during treatment.

For best results, adjust the pH value to the optimal range before application if necessary using TeichFit . The Söll pH rapid test is suitable for monitoring.

50 ml of SpringAlgaeStop per 1,000 liters of pond water. After 2 to 3 weeks, re-dose the same amount to increase efficacy and combat germinating dormant forms.

In case of blue-green algae infestation: 10 ml of SpringAlgaeStop per 1,000 liters of pond water for 5 consecutive days.

Interesting to know

At the recommended dosage of 50 ml of SpringAlgaeStop per 1,000 liters, there are on average 175 µg of copper sulfate in every liter of pond water.
