OASE AquaMax Eco Expert 12 V pond pump for swimming ponds – 19,300 and 27,000 l/h

The OASE AquaMax Eco Expert 12 V is a filter and watercourse pump for swimming ponds, natural pools, and large koi ponds. It is available as a 20000 and a 27000 model with up to 19,300 and 27,000 l/h, respectively. The pump operates at 12 volts via an included switching power supply and can be installed submerged in the pond or dry in a pump chamber.

Which pump is right for your pond?

The deciding factor is not the maximum flow rate, but rather what remains at your specific head height. This height is measured from the water surface to the inlet of the filter or watercourse. Hoses and bends cause additional power loss. The performance curve shows how much each model delivers at what height:

We have read and rounded the values for 1 and 2 m from the OASE performance curve. Our advice for koi ponds: the pump should circulate the entire pond volume through the filter about once every one to two hours, based on your actual head height.

How the AquaMax Eco Expert 12 V works

• 12-volt technology: The pump operates at 12 volts and is intended by OASE for swimming and bathing ponds. The switching power supply is included and must be located at least 2 m away from the pond.
• Seasonal Flow Control: When switched on, the pump adjusts the flow rate and head height to the water temperature, reducing them by up to 50%. According to OASE, this saves up to 30% in electricity.
• Electronically controllable: You can adjust the performance via the OASE Control App; this requires a Garden Controller Cloud or InScenio FM-Master Cloud. Alternatively, you can control the pump with the OASE Eco Control.
• Dry-run protection: The pump detects dry running and blockages and switches off after approximately 90 seconds.
• Stainless steel filter basket: It retains coarse debris and leaves. Plant remains and fish waste up to 11 mm are passed directly to the filter.
• Frost-proof: down to −20 °C according to OASE.
• Flexible installation: The pump housing can be mounted rotated by 90°. This allows the outlet to point in the direction of your pipework.

Suitable for filters and skimmers

The Expert 12 V pumps water to the filter, watercourse, or waterfall. If it is being used with a skimmer or satellite filter, OASE suggests that it may be useful to turn off the SFC function. We would be happy to advise you on sizing the pump and filter for your swimming pond.

Frequently asked questions

Which AquaMax Eco Expert 12 V do I need?

That depends on your pond size and head height. Check the performance curve to see how much the pump still delivers at your height. At 1 and 2 m, the 27000 model achieves about half as much again as the 20000 model.

Is the power supply included?

Yes. The switching power supply is included. Only operate the pump with this original power supply and place it at least 2 m away from the pond.

Is the pump allowed in a swimming pond?

Yes. According to OASE, it is designed for swimming and bathing ponds. National regulations for electrical installations apply.

Does SFC work with dry installation?

No. According to the OASE manual, the SFC function only works when the pump is submerged. Without SFC and without a control unit, it runs at full speed.

How long is the warranty?

OASE provides a 3-year warranty. If you register the pump after purchase via the OASE product registration, it extends by 2 years to a total of 5 years. This requires purchase from an authorized OASE dealer such as Koi-Area. The terms can be found in the OASE warranty conditions. Your statutory rights toward Koi-Area remain unaffected.
