CULTURE SUBSTRATE FOR POND PLANTS

Aquatic Plant Substrate forms the basis for healthy, strong aquatic plants and is perfectly suited for setting up planting zones. Valuable minerals and trace elements ensure vibrant leaf and flower colors and counteract stunted, weak growth.

Aquatic Plant Substrate consists of lava, granulated clay, and limestone. It creates a fine-grained and muddy root space in which the plants can firmly anchor themselves. Aquatic Plant Substrate gradually releases plant-available nutrients to the root system and ensures lush, healthy plant growth. Aquatic plants grow better and display more intense colors.

Aquatic Plant Substrate contains no organic components, so it does not promote algae growth or putrefaction. The culture substrate does not float and, unlike peat products, has no negative impact on the pH value of the pond water.

Our Application Recommendation

Ideally suited for swamp, floating-leaf, and underwater plants as well as water lilies. Plant them with Aquatic Plant Substrate in layer thicknesses of 5 to 15 cm. If the substrate is added to the water, it may lead to cloudiness. It is recommended to perform the planting first and then fill the pond with water. If there are fish or wave action, cover with gravel to prevent the Aquatic Plant Substrate from washing away.
