TeichStarter instantly conditions tap water, rainwater, and well water into biotopically appropriate pond water.

TeichStarter is exceptionally effective at removing harmful heavy metal compounds and increases or stabilizes the actual carbonate hardness and pH value.

TeichStarter conditions acidic, soft water with unstable pH levels, as well as water with insufficient carbonate hardness, ensuring optimal living conditions for pond inhabitants. The sensitive mucous membranes of fish are naturally protected. The bacteria essential for starting a pond are promoted.

Water containing chlorine and heavy metal contamination (e.g., tap water from copper pipes or rainwater contaminated with air pollutants) is also detoxified by TeichStarter and thus optimally conditioned for use in the pond.

TeichStarter is completely safe for humans and animals in the water. Also good to know: TeichStarter reduces corrosion in pumps and pipes.

Our application and dosage recommendation

After heavy rain. When refilling or filling the pond for the first time with tap/rain/well water. Sprinkle evenly over the surface of the pond. Never dissolve or stir beforehand! Filter systems can remain in operation while adding the product.

100 g TeichStarter per 1,000 liters of pond water. Rainwater, cistern water, and well water often have very low pH values. In these cases, a double dosage is recommended. TeichStarter cannot be overdosed.

Special notes

a) Limitation of effect

If there is a permanent source of acid or alkali in the pond, TeichStarter will be consumed faster as it must constantly perform neutralization work. Once TeichStarter is fully consumed, the pH value is no longer stable. Certain types of concrete or cement sometimes used for pond construction can release alkali into the pond water over a long period, causing the pH value to rise significantly.

During water changes, previously applied TeichStarter may be partially or completely removed from the pond with the water and therefore no longer be effective. A new dose is recommended in such cases.

b) Interaction with other products

We recommend applying TeichStarter one day before using algae control products (e.g., Algosol, Algosol forte, FadenalgenVernichter). The other products in the Söll pond care program can be used at any time together with TeichStarter .

If long-lasting cloudiness or brown discoloration of the water occurs after using TeichStarter , this is likely due to the prior use of peat, humic substances, or other pond conditioning agents. In most cases, the resulting cloudiness or discoloration can be removed by using SauerstoffAktiv.
