The OASE AquaMax Eco Titanium is a filter pump for gravity-fed systems in large koi ponds, available in 33,000, 51,000, or 81,000 l/h versions. Its pump housing is made of cast stainless steel. The pump can be electronically controlled and is designed for either submerged or dry installation in a pump chamber.

Which pump is right for your system?

In a gravity-fed system, pond water flows automatically into the filter via the bottom drain. The pump is located behind the filter and returns the cleaned water to the pond. The head height is therefore usually low: it extends from the water level in the pump chamber to the inlet into the pond. Pipes and bends also consume additional performance. The performance curve shows how much each model pumps at which height:

Performance curves for OASE AquaMax Eco Titanium 33000, 51000, and 81000: Head height and flow rate

Model max. l/h max. head height at 1 m approx. at 2 m approx.
33000 33,000 3.5 m 25,900 l/h 16,600 l/h
51000 51,000 4.0 m 41,000 l/h 25,400 l/h
81000 81,000 5.5 m 66,200 l/h 55,700 l/h

We have read and rounded the values at 1 and 2 m from the OASE performance curves, based on full capacity. Our advice for koi ponds: The pump should cycle the entire pond volume through the filter about once every one to two hours, based on your actual head height.

How the AquaMax Eco Titanium works

  • Cast stainless steel housing: The pump housing is made of cast stainless steel. According to OASE, the pump is also suitable for saltwater and chlorine-containing water.
  • CORE 6 for the 33000: The 33000 is the successor to the 31000. With CORE 6 technology, it requires up to 20% less energy and runs quieter, according to OASE.
  • Seasonal Flow Control: The pump adjusts its flow rate to the water temperature; according to OASE, this saves up to 30% electricity. On the 33000, you switch SFC on directly at the pump, while on the 51000 and 81000, it is controlled via an OASE control unit.
  • Electronically controllable: You set the performance via the OASE Control App; this requires a Garden Controller Cloud or InScenio FM-Master Cloud. Alternatively, you can control the pump with the OASE Eco Control.
  • Ceramic bearings: In the 51000 and 81000 models, the rotor shaft and bearings are made of high-performance ceramics (SiC).
  • Dry run protection: The OASE Environmental Function Control protects the pump in the event of a blockage or dry running.

Matching UVC and filters

In a gravity-fed system, the Bitron Premium fits with DN 110 connections. It is placed before or after the filter. In gravity operation, OASE recommends 16,500 l/h for the 60 W, 33,000 l/h for the 120 W, and 50,000 l/h for the 180 W model.

Frequently asked questions

Which AquaMax Eco Titanium do I need?

That depends on the pond size and the head height. In gravity-fed systems, the head height is usually low. Check the performance curve to see how much the pump still delivers at your specific height. In a koi pond, this should be enough to cycle the pond volume once every one to two hours.

Is the 33000 the successor to the 31000?

Yes. OASE lists the 31000 as the predecessor model. The 33000 has the new CORE 6 motor and, according to OASE, requires up to 20% less energy.

Is the pump made of titanium?

No. "Titanium" is the name of the series. The pump housing is made of cast stainless steel.

Can the pump be installed dry?

Yes. According to OASE, it is designed for both dry installation in a pump chamber and submerged operation.

How long is the warranty?

OASE provides a 3-year warranty. If you register the pump after purchase via the OASE product registration, it extends by 2 years for a total of 5 years. This requires purchasing from an authorized OASE dealer such as Koi-Area. The terms are available in the OASE warranty conditions. Your statutory warranty rights against Koi-Area remain unaffected by this.
