Keeping Nishikigoi starts with a good habitat for your koi. A good biological balance is essential for a high quality of life. The basis for this is good water quality.

The product “BHK Bacteria Producer”, which has been tested with great success, is exceptionally well suited for the rapid activation of live bacteria. A unique invention with fabulous results in the only known activator that can grow live bacteria. The constant temperature ensures good fermentation and thus accelerated development of the micro bacteria. The living bacteria divide/multiply at temperatures as low as 5°C.

For the existing pond Every year the difficulty is to start up your filter system as early as possible. The sooner your filter works at 100%, the better the natural living conditions will be for your Nishikigoi. Your koi can build up enough resistance early in the season and bring their immune system to 100%. With the BHK Bacteria Producer, the only one in the industry, you can maintain the high biology in the pond almost all year round and thus prepare your Nishikigoi for the warmer summer season so that they can then develop well. Size, colors, physique and defenses are maximally supported. At the same time, you ensure better conditioning in autumn.

For a new filter system and after a water change In a new pond, new filter system, or after a partial water change or after cleaning the filter system, it is extremely important to add microbacteria in order to be able to maintain a high level.

Starter package 250g micro bacteria + 250ml bacteria nutrient are sufficient for 200,000 liters of pond water. The micro bacteria, made up of six carefully selected heterotrophic bacterial strains, must first be fermented in your filter by adding water, Nutrient and bacteria before use. 1 liter of mix (water, Nutrient bacteria) is sufficient for 40,000 liters of pond water. Live bacteria multiply at temperatures as low as 5°C.

Method:

Fill the inner cup with 500ml lukewarm water.

While stirring, add 50ml Nutrient. Fill the cup with another 450 ml of lukewarm water until you reach 950 ml. Now add 50 ml of micro bacteria again while stirring. Place the inner cup into the container of the BHK Producer. Close the inner cup with the lid. Now pour water between the white cup and the producer. Now close the producer with the transparent lid and switch on the BHK starter set. Let this mix mature for 24 hours and then distribute the micro bacteria through your filter.

Repeat this application regularly.

Weekly:

If you would like to keep your pond water in the best condition, as clear as possible and free of filamentous algae, then we advise you to repeat the process weekly. 

After using medication:

After using medication in your pond, it is particularly important to provide extra support to the filter system with bacteria breeding. BHK's special bacteria are resistant to potassium permanganate. Therefore, if you use this means, you do not need to turn off the filter. This makes excellent treatment possible. In addition, the BHK special bacteria have the unique property that they ensure very clear water. This second quality advantage makes decolorizing with hydrogen peroxide unnecessary. You can simply distribute one liter of BHK Special Bacteria Mixture over your filter 12 hours after you applied the last dose of potassium permanganate. Your pond will clear as if you had decolorized it.

If your pond is larger than 40,000 liters, please dose accordingly.

Note: When using the bacteria, switch off the existing UV lamp for two days.
